Starting Monday, December 1, 2025, Hotel Mazarium will introduce its winter-only breakfast menu — thoughtfully crafted plates designed to offer a refined beginning to your day.
Western Plate
The main feature is a Croque Madame layered with a perfectly soft-cooked egg and toasted, fragrant cheese. Each element is prepared with care, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine.
The salad features fresh, seasonal vegetables from Iwate, finished with our house-made carrot dressing for a bright, refreshing flavor.
The soup is a minestrone made primarily with seasonal vegetables from the region — a warm, deeply comforting bowl for winter mornings.
Japanese Plate
Our winter Japanese breakfast centers around “Ginga no Shizuku,” a new-harvest rice from Shizukuishi, grown in Iwate’s pristine air and water. Each glossy grain stands beautifully, making the rice itself a true delicacy.
The plate includes hearty local dishes such as hittsumi soup filled with vegetables, tender simmered beef (shigureni), and our house-made tofu that highlights the natural sweetness of soybeans.
Together with freshly cooked new rice, these accompaniments offer a warm and distinctly Iwate-style breakfast experience.
Both the Japanese and Western plates are served with Iwaizumi yogurt and seasonal fruit for dessert.
Thank you for your continued patronage of Canaan Spa.
Starting September 1, 2025, Canaan Spa will extend its opening hours for day-use bathing by one hour.

We look forward to your continued patronage in the future.
